Rest Note

Tonight's dinner devours the memories of yesterday. Betelgeuse and the sea take root in my heart. And so, my body—a shimmer of wave-born foam, breathing then falling still—life in rhythm.

Rest Note

Tonight's dinner
devours the memories of yesterday
Betelgeuse and the sea
take root in my heart

And so
my body—
a shimmer of wave-born foam
breathing
then falling still
life in rhythm

In that instant
my sea rose into clouds
then descended as snow
embracing the roots
melting
I became the earth
a rest note
still warm to the touch

(not much logic or reason to it But still, I hope these intense hallucinations can bring warmth, or stir the heart once more. Hmm… feels like it’s still far from there.
